Not many, right? Well, here at ROCK we are with you on that one.
We found a solution with Homemade "Fishy" Gummies!
Cod liver oil is packed with essential nutrients, like Vitamin A (important for combating free radicals), Vitamin D, and packed with anti-inflammatory Omega-3's. Trying to conceive? Cod liver oil is a must: fats are critical for reproductive health, and a healthier pregnancy because they assist the body with producing a solid amount of hormones, including progesterone and estrogen.
Homemade "Fishy" Gummies
1 cup fresh veggie or fruit juice (pressed is best, but if you have a bottle source you trust, that works too!)
2 tbsp. of grass-fed gelatin (we like to use Vital Proteins Gelatin)
1-2 tbsp of Rosita's Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil
Heat veggie or fruit juice in a saucepan over low heat until warm, not boiling. Remove from heat. Slowly whisk in gelatin in order to avoid clumping.
Once mixture is somewhat cooled, add in your cod liver oil. If you notice a lot floating on top, don't worry about this. But definitely be sure that the mixture is lukewarm (fish oil is very delicate, and should never be exposed to anything above 100 degrees fahrenheit).
While the mixture is still very much a liquid, slowly pour into your silicone molds. If you do not have a silicone mold, don't sweat it! Glass pans work just as well, just be sure to grease lightly with some coconut oil prior to pouring.
Allow to refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours (depending on how speedy your appliance is with cooling things).
For ease of removal, we have found it's best to place in the freezer for about ten minutes, and then pop them out of the mold, or cut them out of the dish.
